It can be very hard to be patient. Though we go through painful life lessons to achieve it, our minds can still chatter about and take us off course. How to keep on our path when our feet begin to falter and our mind jumps ahead of ourselves. We can all feel change occurring. Inside, outside, all around us and underneath our feet. It may leave us feeling flummoxed, or we may be seeing stars and taking in life in bliss-filled gulps of air. Whatever the case, life has taken on a different feel and is throwing new kinds of challenges our way. What can we do when we are struggling, know someone who is having difficulty and nothing is working?
- Realize how strong you are. You’ve built strength and gotten over bumps in the road because of what you’ve been through. Those tough times in the past did not take you down completely. They made you strong.
- Put one foot in front of the other. If we feel stuck in indecision, just moving forward can get us unstuck.
- Point our compass toward the change we want to see in the world and BE that change. Become the change and everything sorts to align with that change.
- Confront small fears every day. If we can overcome at least one tiny fear, the larger fears will become less fearful.
- Divine Love drives out fear. Connecting with the love of God within ourselves raises us above fear and fills us with possibility.
- Do the things that stoke a passionate fire inside. Be creative. Do something you always loved doing or find something new that sparks your interest. Light your interest on fire and move forward with purpose.
- Calling on patience to set our pace allows us to operate in this new world at a comfortable pace, while giving us the flexibility to power up and slow it down as needed. We are in the driver’s seat.
When we feel something big coming, we can feel impatient and lose our footing. Staying grounded and focused and moving forward is key right now. Breathe. Keep ‘er steady. Keep moving forward, one foot after the other.

“Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.” – Galatians 6:9
