I can feel my garden stirring with excitement and anticipation. Weeding, watering, planting, pruning, picking… all normal tasks, however, this year the underlying energy current is extraordinary. Several rainstorms have made the grass thick and soft. I take a rare moment to lay in the grass and look up at the sky and see multiple energetic overlays merging and co-mingling. Something that can only happen when a large change is about to manifest in the physical world. The large oak tree next to my garden urged me to prune out as much unneeded dead undergrowth as possible so that light and air can flow unfettered. The waterfall in my pond reminded me that water is our connector, ready to connect us.
I’m going to suggest that we rethink how we landscape around our homes, decks and patios as well as a multitude of urban settings. By incorporating more edibles into the landscaping, we are making a step toward self-sustainability. Blueberry bushes, nut trees or a raised box of ever-bearing strawberries for example can add beauty all year as well as a source of nutrition. Just another example of surprising ways we can take better care of ourselves and eachother in new and different ways moving forward.
We are the bridge between our legacy and our destiny. The energy is telling me not to worry, keep thinking and creating in accordance with positive possibilities, sending love out to all who can receive. There are those who will remain in fear and doom, we cannot control that, but we can continue to tip the scales into the love, joy and compassion side. Even the tiniest little itty bitty act of kindness is the seed that turns into a mighty oak tree. When no one is watching, minute winds of change make repairs and sow seeds for New Earth. It’s coming… and it will be oh so joyful.
