O Holy Father,

Bless this day to our use and us to thy service. Renew our strength and help us hear you better as you bring us to the truth of our existence, that we are made of your love shining your light outward as we step forward on this path through life. Thank you Father for bringing us everything we need on this journey. Thank you for reminding us that we are here to be your love, in human form. To be your love in action. To take action that brings out the best in people and in situations as only You would have us do. “The reward for humility and fear of the LORD is riches and honor and life.” (Proverbs 22:4)

In all situations, let us be love. When the darkness is really dark, and when our faith begins to falter, let us be love. When we are seeing nothing but sadness and despair around us, let us be love. When we are learning about the truth and it entails the highest form of betrayal, let us reach deep down inside and let us be love. When we are emptied of our ability to cope with the insanity of what the darkness sometimes does, let us be reminded of the love that is more powerful than any darkness in this Universe. That we carry the light of You inside of us that no darkness will ever snuff out. We need only to shine, and it will be like turning a light on in a dark room. Darkness will vanish. “Thorns and snares lie on the path of the perverse; he who guards his soul stays far from them.” (Proverbs 22:5)

Lead us on the right path and continue to remind us of the love that we are, Father, because it comes from you, and is You. “He that followeth after righteousness and mercy findeth life, righteousness, and honour.” (Proverbs 21:21)
