Prayer of The Journey

Today we honor our journey, Father. Thank you for bringing us opportunities to grow and experience situations that once brought fear, in new and different ways. Thank you for bringing us the people that challenge us to find and utilize the patience, compassion and understanding that your son, Jesus taught us to use. Thank you for bringing us the awareness that our journey is reaching unprecedented heights and that we are expanding so greatly inside. When we clear out the bitterness, anger, fear and worry to which we used to cling, You fill us with the Light of understanding and a Love so clear. We are filled with gratitude as we step forward honoring our journey and the journey of the person next to us, no matter where they are choosing to go. And thus we celebrate Humanity’s love song with the Earth. We are graduating old patterns in so many different ways, and our gratitude goes to you for giving us this opportunity, and loving us so completely.

Thank you for showing us the path to joy through liberation from our own shadows, even in situations that we cannot control. You, Father, have shown us that there is a way to rise above everything, no matter the case. When we resist our normal reactions and step up on top of situations we climb above them without getting pulled into them. “Resist him, firm in your faith, knowing that the same kinds of suffering are being experienced by your brotherhood throughout the world. (1 Peter 5:9) But, this journey is not just about resisting old control systems, it is about transitioning to more peace and joy. “So we have come to know and to believe the love that God has for us. God is love, and whoever abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him.” (1 John 4:16) We will celebrate our freedom by choosing thoughts that bring us more joy, over thoughts that brings us sadness. “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.” (Galatians 5:22-23)

We choose to open our hearts to hopeful inspiration, to be lifted with potentials that bring us hope. You are reminding us, Father, that the dark can tempt us all it wants, but our natural state is love and joy, and when we honor that in ourselves and eachother, we take the escalator upward, instead of the stairs.

Let it be so,

In Jesus’ holy name,

Amen.
