As a father shows compassion to his children, so the LORD shows compassion to those who fear him.
(Psalm 103:13)
Father,
We know people are suffering. We can see the spread of feelings of hopelessness, and know that despair is growing. Give us the remedy which is to shine your love to all in need. May we be your light beaming outward into humanity to remind them of the resiliency of the human spirit. Give us the ability to remind them of your promise of hope. Activate our ability within to overcome everything that pushes us down and holds us back, because we know it comes from inside where you dwell. For you dwell in our hearts and it is there that we will find hope. “Through the power of the Holy Spirit who lives within us, carefully guard the precious truth that has been entrusted to you.” (2 Timothy 1:14)
In the midst of this, Father, we choose to raise up. We choose to break through the ceiling of all that has held us back and claim our place as your holy lightbearers, as you have chosen us to be. In all of the choices in front of us, we choose love and we choose to be love. We shine that love outward to all in need, because we know they are precious in your eyes also. “Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven.” (Matthew 5:16)
Bring us the breakthrough, let us BE the breakthrough, Father. Give us what we need right now for our Souls to come alive. May we be so devoted to our purpose of love that we can never be swayed from the lighted path ever again. May we witness the light of every soul turn on. May we witness the spark of perseverance and hope ignite. “Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope.” (Romans 5:3-4)
So be it,
In Jesus’ name,
Amen.
