Do you know how hard it is to hold your vibration high in the midst of everything looking dark? Very. But you are doing it, aren’t you?
Honestly, I think we get to a point where we just get so tired of fighting all the hopelessness around us, and then we look at ourselves one day and wonder… where did the fight in us go? The part of us that fought to keep sight of who we are and hold that dear and not let anything quench the Light inside. So what does it feel like to lose the battle against hopelessness? It feels like a downward slide.
In order to sustain ourselves, we’re going to have to fight for our lives back.

How? Along with creating in the NOW, as we’ve been discussing, we’re going to have to reclaim golden pieces of ourselves that have been lost in the struggle. What did you used to do in your life that made you happy that you’d like to reclaim as a statement that you are whole again? Painting? Woodworking? Riding a bike? Singing and dancing? Rebuilding cars? Racing them? Roller skating? Something that would remind you that you are… you again. In this way, you are fending off the darkness by raising up the true you. You aren’t buying into dark illusions that make promises that never deliver. You are being the conscious creator of your life and you tell everyone and everything trying to take a piece out of you– not today!
Adaptation is not just a survival skill, it is also a method of attaining forward momentum. An example in nature is trees. Their seeds drop and they are bound to the environment of that spot unless a bird or an animal or the wind carries it off to a new area. From the moment they begin to sprout, their journey of adaptation to those particular surroundings begins.

What am I saying? Not only are you going to have to reclaim the real authentic you again, but you are going to push forward and your main tool will be adaptation. These are challenging times, and fair warning, change is coming. Time to hone your tools that help you cope and adapt. If you can jump hurdles and rise above what comes and not let anything pull you down, you will experience more freedom and joy. Give up and let the wave take you under and it won’t be pleasant. I can’t say it more plainly than that. It’s becoming that clear. You can do it and here are some tools to fight forward through adaptation:
1. Remember your vitality– Remember a time when you were strong and vital. What did you love doing? Now do something that reminds you of that time. Those who have the tool of being able to pull from the skillset you have built throughout your whole life gain rapid momentum.
2. Switch to a new perspective– Seeing your situation from more than one vantage point gives you the advantage of clarity and the ability to be flexible. Those with the tool of being able to see things from all sides can sidestep pitfalls more easily.
3. Just move– When we don’t know what is happening and it seems hardest to move forward, or even to move at all, put one foot in front of the other. Those with the tool of being able to take the first step into unknown territory despite anything holding them back. Just breathe and move forward.
4. Summon Strength– By taking a deep breath and pulling strength from somewhere deep within we can turn the tide in our favor. Those with the tool of strength in their toolbox can simply stand firm and outlast anything.
5. Intuition– By being able to listen to our gut, our inner-knowing, we can navigate tricky times with more confidence. Those with intuition-gps in their toolbox, can bob and weave the unexpected more efficiently.
6. Forgiveness and Grace- Forgive others but most of all forgive yourself. Grace is when we invite God’s benevolence into the situation to flood everything with Light and healing. Those with the tools of Forgiveness and the ability to call-in Grace can move forward with a clearer conscience, unburdened by the weight of unresolved things.
7. Find a sense of wonder– Life may have kicked our butt more than we care to admit but there are still things in life that are mysterious and magical. Those with wonderment in their toolbox can adapt more easily because it is a key that opens doors in almost all areas of life.
