Ambition

As Dr. Wayne said in The Power of Intention,

“That inner beingness knows why you’re here, but your ego prods you to chase after money, prestige popularity, sensory pleasures and miss the purpose of living  you may feel sated and gain a reputation, but inside there’s that gnawing feeling typified by the old Peggy Lee song, ‘Is That All There Is?’  Focusing on the demands of the ego leaves you feeling unfulfilled.  Deep within you, at the level of your being, is what you were intended to become, to accomplish, and to be.  In that inner placeless place, you’re connected to the power of intention.  It will find you.  Make a conscious effort to contact it and listen.  Practice being what you are at the source of your soul.  Go to your soul level, where intention and purpose fit together so perfectly that you achieve the epiphany of simply knowing this is it.”

My friend, Erik, in his Mom’s blog, talks about ego and fulfillment this way,

“When you see these people (pointing to his eyes) you can see it in their eyes. But it’s hard because ego and the understanding of what it is—it’s probably one of the most misunderstood things that, by understanding it, you can change your life. When these people reside more in ego, that’s when you see these lost souls who continually have illness. They haven’t found that sacred inner space that has nothing to do with ego. Mom, when you get to that sacred inner spot, you bring your awareness there and consciously connect. It’s more like everything else just naturally falls away.  Then you naturally become your authentic self. You naturally become a higher vibrational frequency, and the higher your vibration, the less likely you are to have physical illness.  If you can control the mind and not become a slave to your own thoughts, you can live a life of peace, but there are all these people out there that are like, ‘Oh, I can’t make my mind shut up!’ Well, as long as you believe that you can’t make it shut up, that’s what you’ll experience. The difference is that when you find yourself looking outside for happiness, health and joy, peace, that’s when you know there’s a lack of connection to the spiritual body.  Mom, to get [mind, body and spirit] on the same page and in good shape, honor your true self every moment you can. Be mindful in that. “I’m doing this because I love myself,” or whatever. The more you can allow yourself to be yourself, the more you’re going to nurture all three, but when you begin to believe others’ thoughts of you, other ideas, other concepts, even your own negative thoughts about yourself, you do damage to all three.”

Our current evolutionary shift is about the change from living life from the ego to living from a passion to create deeper meaning and fulfillment.  Dr. Wayne, in his blog explained the four major shifts we go through in life to attain greater purpose in one’s life.

His 2-hour movie, originally titled “Ambition to Meaning” is now called “The Shift.”  This movie is so worth watching and many have called it life-changing.  (If you love this movie and want to own it, it be purchased through Hay House or Amazon.)
