Glacier National Park’s Going to the Sun Highway is an experience.  At first, it’s a scenic drive that takes one to marvelous views.

 Then it climbs and becomes tighter and more treacherous.

The road engineering is amazing…

… as well as challenging.

Rock cliffs create an irregular inside edge on the road on one side…

… with a steep drop beyond the low rock wall on the other.

If you can take your eyes off the road for a second, the view is spectacular.

You are in the peaks and in the clouds.
