Father,

We surrender to You in this process. You are making us open, free, flexible and receptive. You are making us ready. You are preparing us with a mind open for grace, like a child that marvels at everything they see. Not worrying about tomorrow, but awake and alert in the present moment. Thank you Father, for blessing us this way. For interrupting our lives to ask us to take a stand in this world for what is right and holy according to your covenant and the teachings of Your Son Jesus.

“But even if you should suffer for what is right, you are blessed. Do not fear their threats; do not be frightened. But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect, keeping a clear conscience, so that those who speak maliciously against your good behavior in Christ may be ashamed of their slander.”

Bless us this day with the strength to withstand any storm and the fortitude to pick up new ground as we keep moving forward. Guide us with the truth as we shine it out. Fill our hearts with Light and fortify us with Your Love. You imbue us with a Love powerful enough to light up the darkest night. Strengthen our Holy Armor when we need it, and help us always remember that as dark as things might seem, The Light will always come, therefore we can look the darkness full in the face and know that we contain something within us it does not, and that is the spark of You, and the heart of Jesus.

May we always shine the most, when it seems darkest.
