Father,

It is during the darkest times that we seek Your Light. In order for Humanity to heal, the sins of the dark must come out into the daylight for all to see. “The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.” (John 1:5 NIV)

As dark things come out, we cannot fall into despair, but have the resiliency to climb the ladder of Love so that we may hold our light higher, allowing it to shine farther. “And the light shineth in the darkness; and the darkness apprehended it not.” (John 1:5 ASV)

Give us the conviction of our faith to know that You are stronger than anything and that in the face of Your Love, no darkness can exist. Darkness has no power in the presence of Your Light. “And the Light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not overtake it.” (John 1:5 LSB)

May we see through all deceptions and scare tactics that try to distract and weaken our resolve. But, like Jesus, when we are most saddened and lonely, is when we shine our Light out the most. Darkness cannot understand how we still do that, and has become lost. “And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.” (John 1:5 KJV)

Let us deepen our commitment to service and our desire to give, and let our light shine freely throughout the world, obliterating all darkness. “The Light shines on in the darkness, and the darkness did not understand it or overpower it or appropriate it or absorb it.” (John 1:5 Amplified)
