Prayer of Being Blessed

Father,

It is in the still quiet that we find you. You are in the silence of the morning, the warm breeze of the afternoon and the night’s starry sky. You invite us to open to the most beautiful aspects of life, the ones in which we feel truly alive. We open ourselves up to you, Father. We tear down the walls of past hurts and anger and we let you into our innermost sacred space where when you are there, we feel a peace that only can be described as home. To spend time with you there is heaven because we know you will always accept us no matter what. That you love us as your children, loving us just as we are right now. This is a love that is stronger than anything else that ever existed, and when you hold us in your arms as precious, we know we are loved forever, and we wouldn’t want it any other way.

“Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.

Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the Earth.

Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled.

Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy.

Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.

Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called sons of God.

Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you, and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of Me. Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven; for in the same way they persecuted the prophets before you.” (Matthew 5)

For thine is the kingdom and the glory, and the life everlasting, Amen.
