Prayer of Resurrection

As we greet the morning, Father, we pause a moment to look at how we are dealing with our pain. The pain we’re experiencing as a collective in our world, the sympathy we feel for others, and our own individual pain. We admit, it can be overwhelming at times. Sometimes it becomes so uncomfortable that we might look for any way to unburden ourselves. But we know we can come to you. We know that you love us as your children and we know you don’t want us to suffer. “He will wipe every tear from their eyes, and there will be no more death or sorrow or crying or pain. All these things are gone forever.” (Revelation) And if we can truly trust, we can give you all of it. You are asking us to turn over our fear and worry to you, because you are able to transform it.

When we trust enough to give over to you our pain, we are unburdened and able to see how you love us right here and right now, fully and completely, that we are beautiful and precious. And if we can see that, we can take the next step which is accepting ourselves for who we are, and how we are, right now in this moment. When we can be at peace with ourselves now, we give others permission to want to find their inner peace also. Then we can see that what is happening in the world right now is happening perfectly according to your plan.

As we accept and resolve “what is,” we have become ready to rise to new. Since we’ve handed over to you everything that weighed us down, we are ready for your gift of transformation. “For since death came through a man, the resurrection of the dead comes also through a man.” (1Corinthians) Right now, we can feel the hum of our life force surging through our body. It is the electricity of your spirit flowing through us. The vitality of our divinity, claimed by us.

May this be the renewal that we’ve all been needing and wanting, for a long time.

Let it be so,

God is Victory

Amen
