Wholeness

Wholeness

A Poem by ThinkCareBelieve

I am the spirit, the true essence,

That resides deep inside.

The mothering me that always was,

The nurturer that never died.

All the disappointments,

And all the sorrow.

Did not squash the me

That still looked to tomorrow.

In my NOW moments,

My heart still pure and true,

I did not become broken,

Learned to bend like the yew.

When times got tough it got rough,

I learned to summon my grit,

Put my head down and pushed ahead,

I worked and wouldn’t quit.

I AM the breath of Life,

The flowers that grow,

The sun that beams brightly,

Winter’s new fallen snow.

I AM the stars that glisten,

Over the love on the moor,

I AM the kiss to my beloved,

That our future is secure.
