John hit the salt water in Virginia Beach, Virginia near the home of our mutual friend, Biker Randy.
The trip took 439 days and John pedaled 18,496 miles through 22 countries. What was once a dream as a little boy peered at a map while tucked in his bed in a country called England… is now a reality.

What an incredible journey! This is such a brilliant posting I couldn't help but comment. I had absolutely no idea that I could hop on my bike and ride over to see Biker Randy and you!!
John's travels are quite astonishing, and the places that he must have seen along the way. Truly amazing. Thanks for posting this one! It was really uplifting to see.
Oh…. BTW – ALL of us Englishmen are at least a little bit crazy! Ha ha ha ha!
