Fun on the Farm

We visited the Jack Daniels Distillery in Lynchburg, Tennessee.  The tour took us through the charcoal making, fermenting, mellowing and charcoal filtering process.  They really do use water from a mountain spring that is iron free.  The buildings of barrels were a thrill to see.  Lynchburg is a dry county, so we couldn’t taste any, but… we were allowed to smell all we wanted!  WOW!

Folsom Farms is a run by the Folsom family and have been friends of our for over 15 years.  They raise chickens, sheep, goats, honey bees and cows.  We got to help a little with the cows.

And saw a neighbor’s horses.

Angie helped too.

Angie got to ride on the Gator with Teresa.  Teresa just dedicated herself to breast cancer awareness by dying her hair pink.

Lady the farm doggie decided to cool off.  Luckily the chickens didn’t mind.

 Lucky waited his turn.

Those chickens lay delicious eggs!  They are healthy free-ranging chickens!

Angie thought she’s help round up the chickens…

 …then thought better of it!

… and got all tuckered out!

Found a fossil!!!
