Last night we stayed very near where Indiana, Ohio and Michigan meet. Today, we are staying in Rockford, Illinois after a harrowing drive around Chicago.
Tomorrow we are off to Wisconsin, not far from where Bill grew up. On today’s drive, we saw a sign for the ipass, the midwest’s version of the ezpass, and Bill said something that made me curious… he said “Only in the midwest!” I had to ask him why that is. The picture showed an alien looking female in futuristic garb holding up a ipass. He said that easterners are so busy and hectic that they don’t have time to mess around, so they market things as making their lives easier- hence the ezpass… but midwesterners are so bored that they market things as weird, new and exciting in order to break the boredom, so they use aliens in their marketing…anyway, sure was different from back east.
