Empowerment Out of Trauma

Joseph Addison's Prose from Psalm 19

The Spacious Firmament on high,
With all the blue Ethereal Sky,
And spangled Heavens, a Shining Frame,
Their great Original proclaim:
The unwearied Sun, from Day to Day,
Does his Creator's Power display,
And publishes to every Land
The work of an Almighty Hand.
Soon as the Evening Shades prevail,
The moon takes up the Wondrous Tale,
And nightly to the listening Earth
Repeats the Story of her Birth:
Whilst all the Stars that round her burn,
And all the Planets, in their turn,
Confirm the Tidings and they roll,
And spread the Truth from Pole to Pole.
What though, in solemn Silence, all
Move round the dark terrestrial Ball?
What tho' no real Voice nor Sound
Amid their radiant Orbs be found?
In Reason's Ear they all rejoice,
And utter forth a glorious Voice,
For ever singing, as they shine,
"The hand that made us is Divine."

We have to heal our trauma. On a personal level and outwardly as a collective, and as a world. We have to heal our trauma because we don’t want to recreate it again. We want to create better out of the experience of it. Like a birthing. Painful and powerful, but out of that pain a miraculous new creation arrives.

I do have a deep concern right now about our ability to maintain our free speech. Although Twitter just had a breakthrough opening it’s platform back up to everyone, Facebook and others have gotten worse. And, from what I’ve seen, people have gotten hurt by social media platforms deliberately adjusting the truth by keeping out certain messages that may have saved people. It’s becoming clearer every day. A very cruel truth.

We’re going to need healers because we’re going to need to heal from trauma.

A friend wrote about his concern for the nature of free speech. He says that things are playing out like the movie 1984. And he is a strong advocate for standing up and strongly letting authority know who pays their bills and who is in charge. Unfortunately, we have people in the world who think it is better to trust what they are being told and to just follow orders.

Looking back over the past couple years, I know it is becoming clear that blind trust is no longer an option. Too many healthy people have been lost to us immediately following getting something injected into them. China, who has been 90% vaccinated, is in a serious strange crisis right now. I know we are worn out and tired, but it’s crunch time and we have to use our critical thinking, our logic, our discernment and then our voices, and we have to get loud!

My friend believes that “When free speech no longer exists, when truth is fiction; and reality locked away, and only the narrative of the war machine moves onward; those who mean well, who fight for social justice, will be so lost and misguided by the very nature of their upbringing in a world that has erased all inconvenient truths; that society as we know it, and the world as we know it will cease to exist. They will cheer for war while redefining social norms to fit an ever more extreme agenda that only further divides and weakens their collective hand; and we will be trapped, then, in an inescapable dystopian nightmare of greed, corruption, and death.

We are sliding into this reality even now, and we must band together as one people; from all sides of the manufactured division that weakens us and controls us, and seek to fight back against these terrible designs. We are but one generation away, from losing our voice, our freedoms, and worst of all; our perspectives. Fight.”

Sonnet in the Shape of a Potted Christmas Tree

O
fury-
bedecked!
O glitter-torn!
Let the wild wind erect
bonbonbonanzas; junipers affect
frostyfreeze turbans; iciclestuff adorn
all cuckolded creation in a madcap crown of horn!
It’s a new day; no scapegrace of a sect
tidying up the ashtrays playing Daughter-in-Law Elect;
bells! bibelots! popsicle cigars! shatter the glassware! a son born
now
now
while ox and ass and infant lie
together as poor creatures will
and tears of her exertion still
cling in the spent girl’s eye
and a great firework in the sky
drifts to the western hill.

If you are in any kind of emotional depression during these holidays, sadness, and I know it is all too common. Feelings of sadness, loneliness, worry and despair are prevalent now particularly with rising inflation and moving toward recession and financial depression. With things the way they are in the world, right now, people are getting more and more anxious and frustrated putting food on their table and gas in their cars. The love that we are feels squashed and strangled.

Self care is still of the utmost importance. Caring for ourselves is also in service to God and the Universe. Personal hygiene is more than washing down in the shower. It is disengaging from the toxins and poisons of the world… physically, mentally and emotionally. Much of the media messages now are so toxic, that we are left emotionally disenfranchised, which leaves us feeling empty and depressed. We’ve got to find our spiritual rock and stand on it again. Detox from all the chaos. Clean yourself out. Get back to the innocence inside that is the you without all that tainted mind chatter. Step back and do what it takes to get out of your head and into your body so you can trust your gut feeling again. Try to go beyond the layers of what you’ve been taught to believe about yourself and get to the point where you can trust your honesty again.

The next thing I will suggest is to reach out to others in service. A choice founded in love can make you feel light, excited, passionate and give you butterflies. When we give from our hearts outwardly, we have to open them. When our hearts are open, the electromagnetic biofield around us magnifies. This creates a wonderful thing to occur. When hearts are in the vicinity of eachother, they go into harmonic resonance. Harmonic resonance is an organizing force that transcends other forces in the physical world, it is how the natural world retains balance. Not only that but it sets off regeneration through a series of nested cymatic signals. You can learn more about harmonic resonance here.

When we reach out to others, in service, we are also giving to ourselves by starting a circular motion of energy of giving out and receiving back. If we can muster the ambition to perform selfless acts of kindness for others, we receive back things of equal or higher energetic value. Soon we are being showered with light.

Be bright, you are worthy. <3

If you are feeling sad or depressed at all, I want you to know there is good reason for it. We are disengaging from the old system and that feels strange and unnerving. We are stretching out of our comfort zone. We can’t take our normal cues from our guidance and it feels like our GPS is off. The reason I am suggesting self care and service to others is because that is where the momentum is traveling toward our bright new world. By being brighter through cleaning out ourselves and raising ourselves up, and then acting in service to others, we will be on the straight path to our better world.

Just like tree buds in winter, we hold the promise of a bright new spring within us, getting ready to explode with magic.

A bud is a flower-to-be. A flower in waiting. Waiting for just the right warmth and care to open up. It’s a little fist of love waiting to unfold and be seen by the world. And that’s you.

-Christopher Paul Curtis

Bringing the Light in service to mankind.

Your Voice Matters

Why is this girl, who is normally all about “love and light” writing about speaking out? Why is she writing about making a ruckus? (and she’s doesn’t mean a quiet one either)

We need to get loud. Let me rephrase, we need to get louder. The Omnibus Bill was just passed at the last minute over night. It added $1.1 trillion dollars of debt to an already insane $3.1 trillion of debt. Not only is this a terrible way to run a government, but rules were put in place that it had to be offset so as not to add any more debt.

Let me adjust the picture to make it a little clearer…. that is only the treasury debt. The Federal debt adds nearly $9 trillion more. Add in the rest of the public debt such as pension funds and it becomes over $100 trillion. And… The US only has assets that amount to $9 trillion. Basically, the US is upside down on their mortgage.

So typically when we deal with numbers like that, it becomes a little numbing. What does it really mean for us?

The Treasury will have to borrow more money to offset this, and will increase the price of Treasury bonds and I bonds (a type of month interest bond meant to withstand inflation that has a yearly limit of 10k per investor). It means the price of everything is going to go up, sharply. Also, social programs will probably need to be scaled back, but SS should be okay because they should go up with cost of living increases. Those on fixed incomes should be okay.

All this spells one thing: a recession/depression is coming like a taught rubber band that has been drawn back way too far and is gonna snap…. and it’s not just the US either. Yes, we’ve been hearing that but it’s here now.

The valuation of real debt per taxpayer is nearly 1 million dollars per person. If we take out medicare and social security from that total, it is still $3-400 thousand per person.

We cannot let ourselves boil in a pot of fear. This is the point where we must stand up and get very, very loud… all over the world… as one people who have had enough. It will get uglier for a while until it gets better. But right now, and please trust me on this, we need all of our voices to be heard.

How to Call

So, I like to learn a little about the issue so I am acquainted with the overall picture.  I take notes on facts.  Then, I take a few quiet moments and think about the issue, and then relate it to myself.  How does it make me feel?  I write that down.  For example, that makes me really angry/sad/furious/exhausted/poor/sick/etc…then focus that energy to coming up with 1-3 points to discuss.  Then I try to come up with some questions around those so that I sound like I know what I’m talking about and can have a conversation on the off-chance that a staffer actually answers the phone.  You can pull a few from this post, but also by doing your own research.  Lots of talk about the Omnibus Bill going on right now, so there should be plenty to find-  See videos below.  Now pick up the phone and call.  Be civil, but firm.  Once you do it a few times, it gets much easier and is a healthy to channel our aggravation, granted we are speaking in a calm, reasonable manner.

Public pressure helps create movement. Our calls are documented and compiled on spreadsheets. They are tallied up and looked at by political analysts attempting give their boss an edge. Our calls don’t just sit there untouched. Our voices are incredibly powerful, especially when raised together.

For something like this, call and write.

Latest on Julian Assange

A big world shift like this isn’t easy. It has many moving parts, seen and unseen. Many of those parts are resting on Julian Assange.

Journalists all over the world are being careful. They are worried that the imprisonment and extradition of Julian Assange could mean the end of free press. That doesn’t bode well for a free democracy. News professionals worldwide are concerned that the laws that are being used against Assange could also be used on them and that his imprisonment is setting a dangerous precedent.

Julian Assange’s brother Gabriel Shipton and their father John Shipton have been advocating for Julian giving speeches throughout the world on the facts of Julian’s imprisonment. Julian’s wife, Stella Assange has also been educating groups about the facts of Julian’s case and what it means for journalists everywhere.

The latest: President Biden is receiving pressure to drop the charges against Julian Assange, see the article here. This does give hope because he is talking about respecting free press and AG Merrick Garland stated last October that “a free and independent press is vital to the functioning of our democracy” when the Justice Department revised their news media policy expanding protections for news media journalists. See article here.

Australia’s Prime Minister, Anthony Albanese has put pressure on the US government to bring the Assange matter to a close and appealed for his release. Brazilian President-elect Luis Inácio Lula da Silva called for an end to the “unjust imprisonment.”

International Human Rights Day was December 10th. There were vigils and demonstrations to see Julian Assange free. Here are photos from all over the world. There was a rally in front of the British Embassy in New York City, you can see photos here.

Also, New York Times, the Guardian, Le Monde, Der Speigel, and El Pais all wrote a letter to the US Department of Justice calling for them to drop most of the charges against Assange. They stated that prosecuting under the Espionage Act sets a dangerous precedent and that holding governments accountable is a duty of a free press in a democracy. Article here.

So there is a hopeful momentum building for Julian Assange. I do believe he is a linchpin for many other things leading to greater positive change. If you are willing to add your voice, please call and write your elected officials and tell them you want them to support freeing #Assange. Let them know your opinion. Let them know how you feel about this.

Standing For Assange

We may all have different reasons for which we feel strongly impassioned. A better future for our children, a longer healthier life for our pets, healthier bodies, environmental conditions that create longevity for ourselves and our loved ones, better stewardship for our dear Mother Earth, a stronger healed country that shines because it is loved, a happier peaceful world, equality, the end of corruption… We may be standing for different reasons, and that’s okay, as long as we are all standing up and standing together.

If there was one linchpin opening the bridge that takes us to our future, it is Julian Assange. Without him free, we do not have accountability in our system, and that means more wars, higher taxes, more health scares, energy crises, worsening inflation and a media that has been scared and intimidated into keeping silent about the truth. With Julian Assange imprisoned for publishing proof of bad things our government did, crimes, he is being held to send a message to all journalists, everywhere… to keep quiet, or else. He is a family man with a wife and 2 young boys. He could be your brother, your cousin, your friend, your son…

Assange in the News

Unless we were looking for it, we would not know what is happening with Julian Assange because it is being kept quiet by the media. The truth about Assange needs to be told. Please see the following News Articles:

British Parliamentarian Kenny MacAskill, a former Scottish justice secretary, is officially pressing the UK government for answers around “Operation Pelican”, the secret plot to kill Julian Assange.

Anthony Albanese, The Prime Minister of Australia, has just officially gone on record pressing the US gov. for Assange’s release directly.

Journalistic Sovereignty

First of all, I’m just a lady with a garden.  Not a political scholar, nor a watcher of current events.  I’m just a gal that gets little insights while she goes about her day and shares them with people who might enjoy her positive take on things.  Nobody listens to me, not even my family.

What a roller coaster ride this unshackling of human consciousness has taken us on.  This is the shift, ladies and gentleman.  Hope you’ve had your seatbelts fastened.  God is the ride operator and in true form, God is revealing truths in surprising ways.

I noticed something just this last week.  Several independent journalists have done an about face and have taken a completely different stance.  At first, I thought they were waiting to see which way the wind blew and got caught up in the current.  But something occurred to me this morning.

These journalists are terrified.  If events are being so reshaped and distorted, and anyone not following along gets called a criminal, who do you think is next?  You see, without upholding the people’s rights to free speech, the independent and investigative journalists are the first to go.  Pressure applied to fall in line.  And what is the threat?  Imprisoned journalists and whistleblowers.

You see, without journalists freely investigating and publishing, there is no government accountability.  Without journalists shining the light on what is hidden from the public, allowing the public to question their government, resulting government transparency is unlikely to occur.

Take journalist Julian Assange for instance.  Mr. Assange put a light where it needed to go and that gave us a picture of what was actually going on.  What we learned gave us the ability to question our governments, and just in doing so, Mr. Assange helped the level of transparency around the entire world.  He lit up what was happening in the shadows for all to see.  For his work, he has just been nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize.

Before Julian Assange, we the average working people who consistently pay their taxes would never know how governments secretly work because it was always kept top secret for security purposes.  They have been acting in secret, with little or no input from the people who paid for them.  If Mr. Assange was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize, it would send a strong message that we the people of the world stand for global peace.

But, Mr. Assange currently sits in a UK prison.  Many people don’t realize this.  Worldwide awareness is growing, and people are becoming vocal, in fact, this issue is the only one right now with true bi-partisan support.  Both liberal and conservative are joining forces.  Because, according to his family, Mr. Assange is in freezing conditions, with heat that frequently breaks down, and the warm winter clothing that his family has sent for him, is not being given to him.  His partner, the mother of his children, states that he has to pile books in front of the windows to keep out the draft.

This is not the treatment one would expect of an eloquent journalist nominated for a Nobel Prize.  This is the treatment that terrifies all other independent journalists.  When you watch the news and ask yourself how this reporter can skew the truth so badly, or spout what you know are blatant lies, this is the reason.  Tow the line… or else.

Since his arrest almost 2 years ago, Mr. Assange has been medically diagnosed with Asperger’s and depression, along with several other co-occurring mental impairments.  I am in no way an expert, but treating someone this way, knowing their family has sent them warm winter clothing, which are not being given to him, in freezing conditions, while the US and the UK keep batting back and forth an endless appeals process… is like slow torture and neglect.

When I take my compost out to my snowy garden, I think about him. These are the conditions he is in, right now. I think of what will happen to us if he should not survive, and what it means for journalism and free speech… everywhere. Our compassion and our humanity are our greatest strengths. There are several groups making their voices heard calling, emailing, writing, speaking, tweeting, posting, etc. You can search and find one of these groups and add your voice, it matters. A friend of mine sent me some information to call the prison and request that his warm clothes be given to him. Perhaps, if we join together, we can make a difference, for the better.

Operation Clothe Julian”
