Week 25 in Amazing America, the HOTTEST country in all the world right now, is definitely tipping the scales on WOW-Factor. Importance is being placed on the right things again, where it needs to be and the Trump Administration is committed to straightening out long held, deeply entrenched swampy figures and practices. Again this week, the economy is booming. Again, inflation is down. Grocery prices are still down. Prices at the gas pump are low. Numbers are in and for the first time in a long time, The United States has a surplus in the money it took in versus what it paid out. Last June there was a deficit of $71 billion. This June, under the Trump Administration, the U.S. brought in $27 billion more than it spent. That is a $98 billion difference from last year in the plus column, in the best way ever! This economic turnaround was driven by Trump economic policy’s surge in revenues and reduced spending, thanks to DOGE. President Trump was right again. The nations of Gabon, Giddi, Bissau, Segal, Liberia, and Mauritania represented at this meeting. Nations that are rich in natural resources and have been living in abject poverty for generations. President Trump is liberating these nations from being controlled by Europe. Europe has historically controlled African countries through colonial exploitation, extracting resources like oil, diamonds, and gold through unequal trade agreements. Post-colonial neo-imperialism, including structural adjustment programs by European-led institutions like the IMF, forced privatization and economic liberalization, benefiting foreign corporations and local elites while limiting local development. This entrenched poverty by prioritizing resource export over local industry, as noted in historical analyses like the Scramble for Africa and recent critiques of neocolonial practices. President Trump is offering these oppressed countries the first opportunity to have “a seat at the table.” These countries represent 1.5 billion people who will be lifted out of poverty because they will have good paying jobs? President Trump is helping other countries improve their own bottom lines so that America has stronger trade partners. Can you imagine how much trade volume is going to increase? President Trump has told us that tariffs will replace the income tax, and this is how.

New Trade Deals

Here is one of the letters sent. This one is to the Republic of Tunisia. Effective August 1st, there will be a 25% tariff on all Tunisian goods coming into the United States. Far less than what is needed to close the trade deficit gap.

White House Senior Counselor Peter Navarro says, “We’re collecting tens of billions of dollars on behalf of the American people and what that’s able to do is protect our workers, our factories… the process is going quite well for America.” On July 7, 2025, letters went out to Malaysia (25%), Lao (40%), Kazakhstan (25%), Japan (25%), Korea (25%), South Africa (30%), Bangladesh (35%), Indonesia (32%), Thailand (36%), Bosnia and Herzegovina (30%), Cambodia (36%), Serbia (35%), and Tunisia (25%). On July 9, 2025, letters went out to 7 countries: Philippines, Brunei, Moldova, Algeria, Iraq, Libya, Sri Lanka. A 35% tariff letter was sent to Canada on July 9th, and President Trump takes deference with Brazil about attacks on election integrity and free speech and charges them a 50% tariff. On July 12, President Trump announced 30% tariffs on the European Union and Mexico.

Rare Earth Minerals

Rare earth elements/minerals (REEs) are used in manufacturing due to their magnetic, luminescent, and catalytic properties. Here’s why they are so important:

Electronics: Neodymium for magnets in smartphones, headphones; cerium for glass polishing in LCDs.
Renewable Energy: Neodymium, dysprosium for wind turbine and EV motor magnets; terbium for LEDs.
Automotive: Cerium in catalytic converters; neodymium in EV motors, power steering.
Defense/Aerospace: Samarium, neodymium for jet engines, missile guidance, radar.
Medical Tech: Gadolinium for MRI contrast; yttrium in cancer treatment lasers.
Industrial/Catalysis: Lanthanum, cerium in steel alloys, oil refining catalysts.
Semiconductors: Gallium, germanium in chip production; neodymium in assembly magnets.

According to this Axios article, China dominates Rare Earth Elements/Minerals (REEs) supply with 70% global production. The U.S. imports about 70% of its REEs from China, and tariffs on these high-value materials generate significant duties. That’s why the U.S. is working on other sources of Rare Earth Elements/Minerals in deals like those with Ukraine and Congo. Other countries with whom the U.S. is exploring REE partnership are Australia, Canada and Greenland.

This thread by Rod D. Martin describes how the Pentagon is becoming the largest shareholder in an American rare earth mining company.

Recycling and environmental concerns are growing. Tariffs (e.g., 25% on REE magnets by 2026) may raise costs, so recycling the REEs from products could meet 10-20% of global REE demand by 2030, per industry estimates, reducing dependence on Chinese supply. REEs can be recovered from discarded electronics (e.g., smartphones, hard drives), electric vehicle (EV) motors, wind turbines, and fluorescent lamps. Neodymium-iron-boron (NdFeB) magnets (containing neodymium, dysprosium) and phosphors (europium, terbium) have the most possibility. Manual Dismantling, chemical leaching and smelting are the methods used. Companies like Heraeus Remloy (Germany) recycle 600 tonnes/year of NdFeB magnets.

The U.S. will have a presence in Ukraine while it is mining REEs (Rare Earth Elements/Minerals) for its mining deal agreement. The U.S. presence in Ukraine will be protecting their own people and equipment also while in Ukraine. That is the most likely reason they have agreed to send more weapons there. Most likely the Patriot missiles they have been discussing.

SOCOM’s budget documents do not elaborate on what kinds of ALEs the LEAs will be able to launch. The U.S. military uses ALE as a catch-all for air-launched uncrewed aerial systems, which could be configured for intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) missions, to conduct electronic warfare tasks, act as decoys, or even be employed as loitering munitions.
