Prayer of All Life

Come into our world, Father. Turn on our light so that we may shine outward into a world that is starving for sustenance of an uncommon nature. You are the The Light that has been kindled within our hearts and souls. It is in the light that we will recognize our own true selves. It is that light that we recognize in one another. You are working in our lives and working through us, to touch others in a way that is so entirely personal and compassionate that our hearts open and all the pain, all the sorrow, just falls away like crumbs. You love us with a love that is everlasting and has no end. It is what is common to us all.

“Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, ‘I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness but will have the light of life.’” (John 8:12)

When we drop our need to avoid, defend, or run from Your Light, resistance disintegrates. We are the light that is You and we accept Your Love in our world. We release the need to hold onto a harsh, suffering, dark, angry world, and we are willing to take Yeshua’s hand and see it differently. We want to hold that hand hard, because it is the most precious thing in all life, and we are willing to let go of the old, and see the world around us change into one worthy of praise and honor, to your name. We want to experience it. We want to work together to create more works of beauty. We want to truly live, and actually know what that means.

Praise be the song of All Life with the melody of humanity, growing and changing in unprecedented harmony.

Let it be so,

In the name of The King,

Amen.
