Father,

We come to You Father, to absorb the infinite Love that is there for us. With all the tumult in the world, and harsh realities coming to light, it can sometimes be difficult to remember the warmth and affection of your Holy Grace. Witnessing the exposure of uncomfortable things can make us forget that You are in charge. In order for healing to occur, it needs to be exposed to sunlight and air. This is happening now. Something is dying and something new is being born at the same time. We cannot yet see it, but it’s gestation is occurring where hope resides. “The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and he helps me. My heart leaps for joy, and with my song I praise him.” (Psalm 28:7)

Bless us with new life. While we brace ourselves for the death throws of evil’s last breaths, a new joy arises as we choose life. “This day I call the heavens and the earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live.” (Deuteronomy 30:19) We choose life. We dig deep and find the will to raise up in goodness from deep down inside. This is more than choosing our mood. It is a life where we choose joy and not fall as victims of hopelessness and despair.

Come into our lives today and every day. Bless the work of our hands the messages of our communications, the intentions of our interactions and the fullness of our hearts. Be with us every moment and don’t let go of us. Encircle us and our loved ones in the protection of your mighty fist and raise us up and hold us high above the fray.
