Father,

We invite you in. Come into our hearts, come into our world. Father, there is still good in our world, but at the moment, our world has seemingly turned upside down. It seems that we have become divided with each side thinking the other is a threat. Father, this division cannot continue. We are one family, Your children. Please Father, knock out this divide and come into our hearts so that we may establish peace again and a kindly order to things. We are Your Children of Light and we will not stand for the darkness tainting all that is good and holy.

Father, we know we are flawed. We know there are many things that make us so much less than perfect. But Father we come to you with an open heart and open hands, ready to do what is needed, at Your service. Give us the tenacity to rise above victimhood and hopelessness and powerlessness to reclaim that which, by rights as your children, is ours. We are not hopeless. We are no victims. We are not powerless. Father, give us the strength to show our children what gumption is. To show them how to reach down deep inside and find the tenacity to overcome anything.

“Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God.” (1John 4:15) The human spirit is imbued with You. Empower us to take a stand against evil and tell it NO MORE. Our liberty is ours alone and our children are off limits. “See that you do not despise one of these little ones. For I tell you that in heaven their angels always see the face of my Father who is in heaven.” (Matthew 18:10) Father, we call to You for Divine Tethrausmenous, deliverance from oppression.
