Father,

Humbly we come to you to be lifted out of the confusion that is taken hold of our world. We know the dark has made attempts to cloud the truth and deceive our eyes and ears. But you are the God of truth and wisdom. We will stand with you and everything will become clear in your light. You will not let the deceivers remain standing and as they fall, let our hope arise as the daylight shows us more and more truth that have been kept hidden from us. “Never take Your word of truth from my mouth, for I hope in Your judgments.” (Psalm 119:43)

Bless us Father, let hope arise as uncomfortable things emerge into the Light. May we rise up to take our place as proper stewards of this world as you intended. We do our part to shine our own light on the corruption, authoritarianism and inequity of a broken system that only wants more greed and power. A system that has been killing and maiming innocents in the shadows. This darkness cannot stand in the ever-increasing brightness of our light, which we shine, as your Children of Light. “You are all children of the light and children of the day. We do not belong to the night or to the darkness.” (1Thessalonians 5:5)

We dare to be love despite all the messages of hatred in the world right now. We dare to shine our light.

Help us, Father, help us continue to make forward progress, bearing straight ahead, on the narrow path that you have set before us. May we do our best to be a comfort to our world, today and every day, and may we stand firmly in the light. “But now, Lord, what do I look for? My hope is in you.” (Psalm 39:7)
