In our vision of life today, Father, we come to you for peace simply because you are a source of life that can touch us so deeply that our faith is ignited and drives us forward. We come to you to feel truly safe and that the ups and downs of life smooth out into steady peaceful progress. When we open ourselves up to you and ask with sincere intention for you to make us an instrument of your peace, we are moved beyond depression and hopelessness to a place where we can gainfully walk forward each day. “For I hold you by your right hand— I, the LORD your God. And I say to you, ‘Don’t be afraid. I am here to help you.’” (Isaiah 41:13)
Wrap us in your arms today, Father, and remind us of the unique song that is sung only by our Soul’s connection with you. Times may have been tough but when we come to you like this, we can resonate with the rhythm of life again. We can gain back what we’ve lost in the struggle, and we begin to feel clear again. “Return to your fortress, you prisoners of hope; even now I announce that I will restore twice as much to you.” (Zechariah 9:12)
In this intimacy with you, Father, we whisper to you our Soul’s fondest wish. Our need to experience a better life. In the commonality of this wish, we can be real with one another. We soon realize that the path of life in which we walk with you is bathed in a warm, bright light. How can we despair, when you love us so cleanly and thoroughly. “Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.” (Mark 11:24)
You are our highest comfort and we remain Your Children of Light,
Let it be so,
Amen.
