Father,
We spread the light in these intense times. When storms come, we become a self perpetuating light source, igniting the fire in eachother whenever one grows dim. We’ve prepared for this, Father, brimming with love and faithfulness and the strength of endurance. “Never let loyalty and kindness leave you! Tie them around your neck as a reminder. Write them deep within your heart.” (Proverbs 3:3) As we confront the dark, we will rise to higher vantage points, staying above the clouds. We will not let our humanity leave us, we will hold dear our strength of compassion and will to love again. “For they are a garland of grace on your head and a pendant around your neck.” (Proverbs 1:9)

For it is loving devotion that spurs us forward with benevolence still in our hearts, that spark of human kindness that is kept vital and alive. It is a power unequal to anything of the dark, a power that demands peace. “Loving devotion and faithfulness have joined together; righteousness and peace have kissed.” (Psalm 85:10) It is by our human compassion for eachother that we claim our place as stewards of this Earth, caretakers of the Garden of the Living God. We will not let the darkness creep inside, we will heal it and be stronger for it, never forgetting what we’ve experienced so that we never go back there again.

As your devoted children, we carry the light. We hold it safe and we hold it high. Bless our way please Father, and bless our every step forward. Allow us to be teflon to all those who seek to bring us down. May we inspire others to rise up with their own lights beaming. We only seek to serve you better this day.
