Father,

As we walk through the cleansing fires today, we allow the transforming process that changes what is dark and opaque into that which becomes light and translucent. The way in which you work to orchestrate these miraculous transformations inspires awe in us. You choose that which is ordinary and revolutionize it into the extraordinary, Father. You take us in dark and impenetrable form, then bring people and situations to us that force us to deconstruct and open up, thus the ability to revitalize with new vision that goes far beyond ourselves. We know you work in mysterious ways and that you choose people on all sides to play roles that bring about change.

Let the simmering, smoldering process of transformation continue to occur. “But let justice roll on like a river, righteousness like a never-failing stream!” (Amos 5:24) When your powerful righteous waters hit burning lava, the release of steam discharges the old and converts impurities into shiny, translucent glass. Even though it may be rough going, we allow this process to occur, Father. We give gratitude for the miracles that are happening right now that will very soon result in a whole new colour of life.

Bless us today, Father, Your Children of Light. Make us ever mindful of what is to be done next and the part we are to play in it. We await your guidance, at your service.
