Father,

We greet this day with a sense of gratitude and wonder. As we open to the new possibilities that lie before us today, we set our intention to be the best version of ourselves that we can possibly be.

To be more loving, understanding and forgiving, as your son Jesus taught us. To be open to surprising revelations and new opportunities because we know from Revelations that “This calls for patient endurance on the part of the people of God who keep his commands and remain faithful to Jesus.”

In a world full of fear, we pray to help be a conversion from fearful hostility to a world of peace in brotherhood and sisterhood. And so we dedicate this day to your way, Father, to “be wise I the way we act toward outsiders; to make most of every opportunity” that comes our way. Let us be the light that shines brightly, in service to you.
