The Bouquet

One of the lessons from my garden from many years ago was to see us as God sees us. I was turning over my garden, and breaking up the soil with my hands. I was just open to whatever I was to learn that day. I remember a picture developing in my head. It started off as three flowers, each of a daisy style and each flower still with the yellow center, however the petals were colored differently. My mind began to ponder things but I stayed with it as I worked. Then more flowers appeared, each was a little different in type and size and shape and color. They all began to fashion themselves into a bouquet. I looked at it. It occurred to me how beautiful it was in complexity because each one was a completely unique expression of itself, but there was a symmetry and resonance that carried a message of unity due to each’s contribution to the whole picture.

I then just knew that this is how God sees us. Each expressing our own uniqueness, but still connected as a whole.
