We had to stop in Flagstaff to get supplies last weekend and ended up, due to mechanical issues, staying through a snow storm.
Flagstaff is Arizona’s highest point, 7000 feet in elevation. The highest peak, Humphrey’s Peak, is snow capped most months of the year. That is where the Kachinas live.
Not Humphrey’s Peak, but we were camped at the base of one of AZ’s beautiful mountains. Before storm…
… and after the storm.
Originally from the northeast US, it was good to feel some snow under our snow boots at least once this winter. After 3 months in Quartzsite’s dry dust, it was incredibly refreshing.
We changed plans and headed east, back to peaceful Homolovi, where we’ll spend two weeks.
