Saguaro National Park – West

Visiting Saguaro National Park, we were immediately impressed with the vast beauty of the Sonoran Desert.  Saguaro is broken up into two different sections, west and east (of Tucson).

The Saguaro Cacti (pronounced sa-wah-ro) are so beautiful.  No two are alike.

They start as tiny black seeds.  They can grow up to 50 feet tall.  It can take up to 75 years to grow a side arm and they can live to be 150 years old.

Then we took a walk up the Signal Hill Trail.  See the hill up ahead?  There are some special rocks on that hill…

Petroglyphs!

So intriguing.

We felt like we stepped through a time portal.

So we took the trail back to the present moment.
