Autumn in the Smoky Mountains

Believe it or not, Great Smoky Mountain National Park is our busiest national park.  But luckily there is enough room for everyone in its 800 square miles.

The characteristic overlaying mountains were adorned by colorful trees.

So we headed for Cades Cove on the western end of the park.
Where there are many historic buildings preserved for self-touring.  We felt like we were walking through kaleidoscope land.
Bill and I remarked how often we talked about taking a drive to see the fall leaves in Pennsylvania, but never did.  We sure made up for it today.
Yes, we took video… stay tuned for the vid.
