Here we are in Williams, Arizona where we will spend two nights. Tomorrow we will take an all day train ride into the Grand Canyon. Unfortunately, Angie is not allowed on the train and will spend the day in the RV (it will be a cool day).
Our trip here from Sedona should have been smooth sailing. But, as we found out on the Weather Channel, some freak weather is hitting the southwest. After last week’s heat wave, we now
have cold weather and precipitation. We drove through a snow storm 17 miles south of Flagstaff, mostly due to the high elevation. Now that we are safely at the campground, we are having intermittent snow, sun and rain. It is very cool to watch the train go by and hear the train whistles.
David and Sue, we have been enjoying glasses of the wine you gave us for the trip. It has increasing the quality of our celebrations tenfold. Thank-you. Ed, you would love this place! So glad to hear that the boys are surviving so well at home. Even eradicating flying squirrels from the house, buying groceries and managing to feed themselves quite nicely. Bill and I are hoping they will continue long enough to treat us to a home cooked meal when we get home on June 1st (not peanut butter and jelly, either).
