Father,
We pray for those who are struggling with the remnants of trauma and past woundings. We call for Peace and healing for their hearts. Father, we ask that You soften the sting of the deep pain felt so strongly and the loneliness and the sadness in which they’ve been immersed, and then ridiculed by the people around them in their communities because they have trouble functioning like everyone else.
Jesus, come into our lives and lift us up. Help us be the beacon of warmth for cold hearts. Show us how to dig into our own pain and open our closed up hearts to those who truly are in need. Jesus, we have seen what needs to be healed in us. Please help us heal all the deeply embedded wounds from all lives. To dress the scarring and the fears that linger-on to eternity. Transform them please. Reach in and find all the parts of us that sorely need healing.
Bring the New Light that dawns a New Day. Obliterate the sense of powerlessness left by a system that literally preyed on us as slaves. Evaporate the fear that causes division because we fear harm from one another and don’t realize that coming together is exactly what we need. Spread the Light into all the shadows and open up everything that is there to be cleansed and healed. “The end of all things is near. Therefore be clear-minded and sober, so that you can pray. Above all, love one another deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins. Show hospitality to one another without complaining.” (1Peter 4:7-9)
For we are Your family, Your Children of Light,
In the name of The King,
Amen.
