We walk with a lighted heart, Father, for it is the fear of evil and not the evil itself that affects us. Your rod and staff are always present. Whatever the rod does not strike, the staff will always reach. We know with certainty that evil cannot exist in such light. Your Love vanquishes all. “Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. (Psalm 23:4)

You are the One True Creator of the Universe and the Great Builder of Worlds. Nothing can stop Your holy covenant with us and the Earth, under Your divine decree. All fears and worries are being transformed into the faith of knowing. “Be still and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted over the earth.” (Psalm 46:10)

It is the strength of this knowing, this quiet sureness, that is reinforced by Your Rod and Staff. To stand in the power of reinforced faith, is to be able to shine one’s own light into any darkness, and that is the gift You give us in our own encoding, with a Love that truly surpasses any evil that tries to instill fear. “Indeed, this is what the LORD says: ‘Even the captives of the mighty will be taken away, and the plunder of the tyrant will be retrieved; I will contend with those who contend with you, and I will save your children.’” (Isaiah 49:25)
