Father,
We put down everything we are thinking and doing, right now, and turn our minds to You. We open up our hearts to You. In this blessed moment, connected with You, we put our trust in Your Hands.
“Be still and know that I am God.” (Psalm 46:10)
In this hush, this pregnant quiet, You speak to our hearts now.
We listen.
(pause)
You want us to be free of all the ties of the old. That our lives and our world are completely changing because You have broken down the
gates of bronze and cut through the bars of iron, for us.
(pause)
The gift in this precious quiet moment is that You want us to do something: Stop striving.
To stop working like slaves to a system that benefits dark agendas and be in The Light. The gift is to be able to see it all differently, and live free of the tendrils that try to pull us back into fear and worry and angst. When we keep The Light of hope and faith and promise foremost in our minds and hearts, the shine of it, the truth of it around us- all darkness is replaced by a lighted world that we can see clearly, and understand readily.
“Then they cried to the Lord in their trouble, and he saved them from their distress.
He brought them out of darkness, the utter darkness, and broke away their chains.”
(Psalm 107: 13-14)
We’ve spent whole lifetimes striving, Father. We are ready to live an elevated life, to learn and love and experience and create. Praise be. We give thanks to You for Your unfailing love and Your wonderful deeds for Humanity.
