Father,
We take this moment to listen intently to what you have to say and to receive what you want to give us. Please open our ears and our eyes and our hearts. We are hungry and thirsty for the love you give so readily, to nourish our soul and bolster our well-being. To remember and to know in our hearts that:
There is Light in the darkness that makes everything new,
There is new life in suffering that opens up a new Earth,
There is a joy beyond sorrow that opens up our hearts,
That even in the toughest times, we can still be Love, Light and Truth.
Let us hear and see, Lord, You in all things in our world. We wish to be awake in a world where You are alive and present in people, work, plans, projects, ideas, meetings, buildings, paintings, music and literature. It would give us real joy and peace if we could see all that is good and holy in all transactions and exchanges we go through in our daily life. To make the most of the potential of every moment, because we know you are in it. “Blessed are those who keep his testimonies and seek him with all their heart.” (Psalm 119:2)
Let us become, in all we say and do, reflections of Your Presence. Let us hear and see You in everything. We yearn for it. Let us be so inspired by what You show us and what You say to us, that it becomes our guide in life, and impart meaning in all our expressions out into the world. “Ears that hear and eyes that see— the LORD has made them both. Do not love sleep or you will grow poor; stay awake and you will have food to spare.” (Psalm 20:12-13)
Let us take in what is really real, and let us have the courage to continue unmasking all the unrealities that have been exposed to Your Light. May our ears and eyes always find You alive in our world, and may we always be awake and nourished by Your unending Love for us.
Humbly this day,
Amen.
