Father,
There are times when things get difficult. In those times, some of our darker feelings may make themselves known to us. Feelings like jealousy and anger, resentment, lust, greed and pain over losses, abuses and rejections. We may be tempted to run away from them or distract ourselves with entertainment. But if we choose, Father, to not be intimidated by the dark voices, and stay put, they lose strength and power. They become gentle and they dissolve into the background, creating space for the kinder, softer voices of Light.
The world gives us plenty of opportunity for distraction. Give us the strength Father, to face the old hurts and woundings that bubble up during these tumultuous times. Help us to be with that pain until it gradually transforms to Light. What we get is more of is peace, kindness, goodness, joy, hope and forgiveness. Most of all, Love. Please Father as humanity faces its darkness, bring us the promise of feeling more joy and compassion. There is no darkness in You and as we face the darkness in ourselves, we start to resonate with the more loving parts of life and the more beautiful things in the world. It comes from a very deep place inside us, Father, as we of Humanity remember who we truly are.
“Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, for to this you were called as members of one body. And be thankful. Let the word of Christ richly dwell within you as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom, and as you sing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs with gratitude in your hearts to God. And whatever you do, in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.” (Colossians 3:15-17)
From dark To Light,
Amen.
