We greet the day, Father, vibrantly alive. We are becoming increasingly aware, day by day, of what a gift our life is and how we have power in our choices and reactions in making our day brighter, or gloomier. You have put power in our hands through the choices we make. Give us the faith to trust in you as we navigate our present moments into our future. “Cast your cares on the LORD and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous be shaken.” (Psalm 55:22)

Father we honor those who have crossed into your arms, and are with you now. We honor their work and their contributions here to humanity, and to make our planet, our home, a better place. We will choose to live more brightly because they lived. “Surely he will never be shaken; the righteous man will be remembered forever.” (Psalm 112:6)

We invite you into our lives today, Father. We open our hearts and minds to you. We ask that you bring healing to our bodies. We ask for your guidance in weaving the most beautiful tapestry that we can imagine, out of the threads of our caring and the weave of our actions. May they always be in concert with Your Will. May they have impact on the world in the best ways possible. Help us turn our lives into beautiful creations. Help us have an influence on humanity in beneficial ways. Allow us to take this opportunity that you are giving us and make a life that is a beautiful masterpiece. “Commit your works to the LORD and your plans will be achieved.” (Proverbs 16:3)
