Father,
Come into our hearts today. Help us remember the love that we are. In the course of our desires and our expectations today, help us remember the love that we are. As we contemplate the conflicts in our world, our satisfactions and disappointments seem to fade in importance. When we become aware that the value of human life has become so diminished by authoritarian figures, we must stop and stare.
“Do you not know? Have you not heard? The LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom.” (Isaiah 40:28)
We call on you Father. We call on all that is good and holy to come into our world and help us make the changes that are so needed. We hope because we have faith. It is with open hands that we come to You, willing to do the work necessary to change our world and rid it of darkness.
“He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak.” (Isaiah 40:29)
We know you will never abandon us. We know you will never go back on your divine promises. We call for a moment of Godly intervention to lift the evil being done to your children. We stand in the face of utter darkness and we say no. We stand for all that is right and holy. We stand for love and peace.
“Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be afraid, for I am your God. I will strengthen you; I will surely help you; I will uphold you with My right hand of righteousness.” (Isaiah 41:10)
May Your Will be done.
In the name of Christ,
Amen.
