Father, You take the tiniest spark of life and you make it into something magnificent. Your care, your handiwork, your love is embedded in the intricacy of the tiniest flower to the commanding presence and magnificence of a giant tree with spreading branches. Your spark of life is in all things living. Your spirit running through all things connects the world.

“The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands.” (Psalm 19:1)

While the light permeates all the dark corners, dark things are revealed. As things come out, it becomes unsettling as it reaches everyone’s awareness. People get shocked and react. We get frightened and worry if world war will erupt.

“The entire law is fulfilled in a single decree: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ But if you keep on biting and devouring one another, watch out, or you will be consumed by one another.” (Galatians 5:14-15)

Guide us, Father, in these tumultuous times.

Help us discern real from false.

Allow us be the calming force the world needs.

Bring us out of emotional reaction into calm reasoning.

Remind us that there are better ways other than war.

Help us remember that we want Peace in the world for our families and for our neighbors.

That deep down, all we really want is to raise our families in Peace.

Help us, Father, remember to love our neighbor as we want to be loved.

Let it be so,
