Father,
In a world filled with uncertainties,
with so many important things up in the air,
and horrible things being unearthed,
and brought out into the light…
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.” (Proverbs 3:5-6)
We have you to thank,
for being our steadfast rock, our fortress,
in stormy times, and happy ones too.
We have you to thank,
for being the lighthouse,
when things get dark,
and stuff swirls around.
You are our comfort in the storm.
“For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.” (Ephesians 2:8-9)
May our loved ones be held in your arms,
in the center of the storm,
where it is safe, and calm.
We humbly ask to be there too,
as comfort to all those in need,
in this time of confusion.
“For God is not a God of confusion but of peace.” (1Corinthians 14:33)
Show us the truth, Father. We remain strong. Show us the truth.
In humble faith,
In clarity,
In Jesus’ holy name,
Amen.
