Father,

Sometimes life brings us to our greatest pain. When that happens we often come to you and ask you why you would want us to suffer so. Thank you for being patient with us, Father. Because it is in those moments that we are stretching past the boundaries that used to be the edges of who we were, and our hearts have now stretched outward. Our compassion and caring is now taking up more space, and it’s beaming outward. Our painful moments crack us open for the purpose of pouring out love into the world. When we walk through moments of caring, we carry a countenance of exquisite beauty. Beauty that is not necessarily visible, but shines from the deepest recesses of our innermost being. That is your light and your love that is doing the shining, Father, and we are so humbled and fortunate and grateful to be chosen to be your Light Bearers. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal. (2 Corinthians 4:18)

Sometimes, Father, we carry our pain because it is the only thing we know. It could be from our past, or it could be in our present. We are a testament to resiliency. That which has not killed us has indeed made us stronger. We’ve come so very far out of the tiny little box we knew when we were young. When we look back we realize our pain has been an essential part of that growth. Thank you for helping us get through our painful experiences, for carrying us when we needed it, for loving us so unconditionally no matter what. “So we have come to know and to believe the love that God has for us. God is love, and whoever abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him.” (1John 4:16)

Bless us today, Father, so that we may walk our paths with grace, with wisdom and greater balance. Bless our loved ones and our Angelic helpers, our Guardians and all of our Warriors. May their strength be renewed and their pain healed. Help us heal the vast pain in our world, Father. Though we know we didn’t cause it, we know that as your Children of Light we have to be part of the solution, together.
