Been taking it easy in Winslow for a little over a week now. We should be here til mid-next week or so.
There are four things associated with Winslow Arizona… Route 66
The Eagles Song, “Take It Easy”…
The Santa Fe Railroad…
And wind. They should have named it “Wind-not-so-slow”. We’ve been hunkering down against strong winds that shake our rig, LOL, for a while now. Once in a while we get a nice windless day or two, but the wind is the norm. (this is our rig with Humphrey’s Peak, the tallest peak in AZ, behind)
But the “Standing on the Corner” guy stays put, ready for photographs.
Some lesser known things associated with Winslow, the giant Bulldog, mascot of Winslow High School.
The La Posada Hotel, a national historic landmark that was designed by famous architect, Mary Colter.
And this statue, the Peter Toth Monument, a hand carved totem pole created by renowned wood carver, Peter Toth, representing the state of Arizona.

I love the mural with the blonde in the red flat bed. Hope the wind dies down for you.
