Woke up yesterday and saw a message from my friend Tony in GA warning me about another snow storm about to hit the Southeast. We had been wavering about when to leave Dillon, SC and where to go. I had been checking the weather for our embarkation, but never caught it. (Note to self: watch the weather channel, don’t use the maps on weather.com)
So…Billy decided we head southwest a day early, skipping Florida this time and saving it for the future. If we can get to I-10 before the storm hits tomorrow night, we should be okay. But, as storms go, we could still get stuck somewhere on account of freezing rain. Oh well… we will see what happens.
As we quickly pulled up stakes and prepared for a week on the road, our friends at Bass Lake RV CG came over to give us hugs and say goodbye. Angie loves each and every one of these folks for the kind soul that each one of them is (including Jack and Deb who are not in pic). She wanted to visit each friend every day. She was very sad to say goodbye, as were we. This place felt like home to us for the two months we spent here during the holidays, there is a special feel that we liked immediately. Peaceful, safe, friendly. I Made huge strides while in Dillon. I got my rock organized and caught up on jewelry projects, and set up for future ones. So grateful for our time here.
Anyway, here is Angie’s Crew. The Gang at Bass Lake RV CG in Dillon, SC.

Angie was very sad to leave them (can you tell by the sad eyes?), they have a permanent place in her heart forever!!! Looking forward to seeing them again next year!
Although a little depressed, Angie missed her friends as we put miles between us and them, but like the little travel junkie she is, she slowly began to look forward to new forthcoming adventures.
