The journey through the Rocky Mountains on Route 70 was not for the faint of heart. But, somehow we made it to Castle Rock Campground in Castle Rock, Colorado. We had to hike to the front office to get WIFI, so posting was tough.
When we reached Loveland Pass, the peak of the Rockies (Bill was stuck there for four hours on a ski trip once), and emerged from the tunnel, we hit a nasty snowstorm. It was touchy driving, but we got through it. Vail was amazing. So was Breckenridge. Oh heck, all of it was amazing!!!
Castle Rock is loaded with all different species of hummingbirds!
