Father,
We meet You this day by pausing in our struggle of thrashing through the weeds using sword and shield. To pause in the battle of survival that we know so well to make space for our Spirit. The battle has become so normalized that we forget that we have control in how we decide to view life. Do we stay thrashing in the weeds, or do we lift up out of the mire using wings that we didn’t realize we have. “Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.” (Romans)
Our wings, Father, came from the culmination of healing all wounds of the past to reach a position of strength so great and so profound that we are lifted out and are able to see You and feel
You as our wings carry us to finish off our battles from above. When we’re not stuck in the struggle anymore, we can see it all and maneuver as needed. You give us that ability, Father. We allow it but you give it to us because you command it to be so. “but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.” (Isaiah)
We call in Lord Jesus, the master of healers to completely heal and clear all past wounds, to remove all burdens and activate our wings so that we may rise up and win the battle from above the morass. May we each be protected in every possible way on all planes of existence. May our family be lifted out of their struggles and be healed and made whole. May we all learn to love eachother better, with love and forgiveness that we deserve, to emerge from the storm better than we’ve ever been.
In humble gratitude,
and enduring service,
Amen.
