Father,
As first light emerges, we look forward to the possibilities the day brings. Will there be good surprises? Will there be more tough challenges? Are there opportunities to open our hearts? Can we expand the compassion in our hearts the way Jesus taught us, as the Master of Love that he is. Whatever today brings, we know you will give us what we need to handle it wisely, with patience and precision. As James tells us, “Who is wise and understanding among you? Let them show it by their good life, by deeds done in the humility that comes from wisdom.”
We reach within us, Father, to pull forth the gumption to tackle any problem, to hurdle any obstacle that comes, in order to find the life-sustaining magic of life again. We ask that you bless us with the soothing strength that overrides all worries and allows us to fully engage with our world with unlimited potential. May we be blessed with an unbinding of our problems, so that we may rise up, with more freedom. May we be the force of loving compassion in this world that was started by Jesus and now carried throughout by us. “Through the LORD’s mercies we are not consumed, Because His compassions fail not.” (Lamentations) May we regain the sweet innocence that allows us to interact with life in nature, and see it as magical and miraculous again, because of your design, inspiring us to show life what we are made of, with smiles on our faces again.
We know the blessings in our lives will continue to multiply. We will build on them. Thank you for this gift. We pause in this moment to feel the authentic gratitude for every magical blessing, for the people who have taught us so much with love and support. We give thanks for those by whom we felt harmed, because the experience gave us wisdom and forgiving them gave us freedom. May all the people in our lives be blessed, with our gratitude for the enrichment they served.
May we all appreciate life in new ways today.
In gratitude and service,
Amen
