Look how much we are growing as a nation. If we can stick together we can learn more about ourselves and one another, building our strengths. By becoming clear on what our goals are, where we are placing our focus, and putting our priorities in order, we become more equipped to move forward together in a more unified way. Many are upset about President Trump’s changes to DEI policy. If we are willing to take responsibility and admit where those policies got us, then perhaps we can be willing to see things another way in order to make improvements and do better overall as a country.
President Trump’s policy on hiring and promoting is based on merit, that is, on how well a person does the job. He says that America is now a Meritocracy and the majority of Americans are thrilled with that. Everyone who has worked hard should be rewarded, supported and given opportunities, regardless of their ethnicity. That is the fair way of moving forward. It promotes positive productive values and rewards us when we collaborate and build ideas together. The average American is a fantastic problem solver, possess good coping skills and really wants better things for their family, their community, their country and their world. We are just beginning to uncover what was holding us back and the reasons why, which are alarming. The news media has not helped us learn the truth, but we are learning it, with or without their help.
Starting now, we set our sights on the Golden Age of America and we make a course correction for it, together.
Putting the Focus Where it Belongs and Putting our Priorities in the Appropriate Order
The best way to get through all this is with the truth, and President Trump is showing us truth, if we are prepared to be grown-up enough to apply logic, common sense, our own research and experience to consider what he is saying- not a preprogrammed, triggered, knee-jerk reaction to his messages. The DEI hiring was putting people with mental disorders in charge of our government and that was killing our country. We have to get our priorities in order to fix this, or we will be in big trouble. We have to try to consider what he is actually saying and work together on this. No more victimization.

To help get the facts, this is a Fact Sheet: President Donald J. Trump Protects Civil Rights and Merit-Based Opportunity by Ending Illegal DEI https://www.whitehouse.gov/fact-sheets/2025/01/fact-sheet-president-donald-j-trump-protects-civil-rights-and-merit-based-opportunity-by-ending-illegal-dei/
PROTECTING CIVIL RIGHTS AND EXPANDING INDIVIDUAL OPPORTUNITY: Today, President Donald J. Trump signed an historic Executive Order that protects the civil rights of all Americans and expands individual opportunity by terminating radical DEI preferencing in federal contracting and directing federal agencies to relentlessly combat private sector discrimination. It enforces long-standing federal statutes and faithfully advances the Constitution’s promise of colorblind equality before the law. This comprehensive order is the most important federal civil rights measure in decades:
- It terminates “diversity, equity, and inclusion” (DEI) discrimination in the federal workforce, and in federal contracting and spending.
- Federal hiring, promotions, and performance reviews will reward individual initiative, skills, performance, and hard work and not, under any circumstances, DEI-related factors, goals, policies, mandates, or requirements.
- The order requires OMB to streamline the federal contracting process to enhance speed and efficiency, reduce costs, and require Federal contractors and subcontractors to comply with our civil rights laws.
- It revokes Executive Order 11246 contracting criteria mandating affirmative action
- It bars the Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs from pushing contractors to balance their workforce based on race, sex, gender identity, sexual preference, or religion.
- It requires simple and unmistakable affirmation that contractors will not engage in illegal discrimination, including illegal DEI.
- It directs all departments and agencies to take strong action to end private sector DEI discrimination, including civil compliance investigations.
- It mandates the Attorney General and the Secretary of Education issue joint guidance regarding the measures and practices required to comply with the Supreme Court’s decision in Students for Fair Admissions v. Harvard.
RESTORING THE VALUES OF INDIVIDUAL DIGNITY, HARD WORK, AND EXCELLENCE: Individual dignity, hard work, and excellence are fundamental to American greatness. This Executive Order reaffirms these values by ending the Biden-Harris Administration’s anti-constitutional and deeply demeaning “equity” mandates, terminating DEI, and protecting civil rights:
- Reversing the progress made in the decades since the Civil Rights Act of 1964 toward a colorblind and competence-based workplace, radical DEI has dangerously tainted many of our critical businesses and influential institutions, including the federal government.
- In the private sector, many corporations and universities use DEI as an excuse for biased and unlawful employment practices and illegal admissions preferences, ignoring the fact that DEI’s foundational rhetoric and ideas foster intergroup hostility and authoritarianism.
- Billions of dollars are spent annually on DEI, but rather than reducing bias and promoting inclusion, DEI creates and then amplifies prejudicial hostility and exacerbates interpersonal conflict.
PRESIDENT TRUMP PROMISED AND DELIVERED: President Trump promised to terminate DEI in the federal government, protect equal opportunity, and force schools to end discriminatory admissions policies, and he delivered. Every man and woman should have the opportunity to go as far as their hard work, individual initiative, and competence can take them. In America, excellence, grit, and determination is our strength.

Press Conference 1/31/2025 with Karoline Leavitt
Some real involvement and excitement from the press in this press conference. What a contrast from the last administration. They are inviting more press in and working with them in positive ways. Lots of questions. Lots of energy. Maximum engagement.
I urge you to take the time to listen to these press conferences. You will get the information directly and skip all the false narratives and attempts to fear-bait and mislead. Cut out the confusion. Karoline Leavitt is being clear with this information.
The first question was from a podcaster who was invited especially to be there, which is something they will do ever presser. Karoline mentioned that they received 10,000 requests to join the White House press pool. Question: The media went after this administration for deporting illegal immigrants they claimed were not criminals. Do you think they’re out of touch? Answer: “The media out of touch? I think the media certainly is out of touch.”
“To deliver accountability, President Trump swiftly signed a memorandum directing an immediate assessment of the Federal Aviation Administration to ensure the federal government is maintaining the highest personnel and policy aviation safety standards.”
“Our message is simple: if you are a criminal illegal alien, you will be ARRESTED and DEPORTED.”
“The nation’s report card was released this week, and the news is not good: It showed that U.S. students had record low reading comprehension scores last year… This is completely unacceptable to the President.”
The Department of Defense will “ensure that Gitmo is increasing their capacity for beds” and “provide for this extra detention space.” “That operation is underway.”
On the CIA assessment (which the Biden admin tried to bury) that the China Virus originated from a Wuhan lab: President Trump was RIGHT — again.
Merit means: How well you can do your jobs. Competence, skill and merit. President Trump wants to elevate competence.
Taking Down Burdensome Regulations that Drive Up Costs
This afternoon, President Trump signed several Executive Orders. The first was on unleashing prosperity through deregulation. They will take down ten regulations for every one created. This will streamline all business which will bring down cost and spur economic growth. New Secretary of the Interior Doug Burgum explains that this will shorten the time it takes to build things and produce energy in America, and that is a good thing, because we have a lot of that on our to do list. Don’t forget, all Executive Orders can be found here.
